From 6 months - The meal

A typical menu for your baby from 6 to 8 months

From 6 months, the diversification of baby is started while keeping infant milk as the basis of his diet. This phase of discovering new tastes and new textures will awaken all of its senses.

Your toddler's day will gradually be punctuated by the 4 meals of the day that you can compose from the following standard menu, to adapt to your baby and your choices.

Menu for babies from 6 to 8 months

Breakfast

  • Breastfeeding to satiety and on demand OR a 240 ml bottle of follow-on milk (2nd age) or 8 scoops. If necessary, you can add 1 to 2 tablespoons of infant cereals to infant or breast milk.

Lunch

  • Homemade vegetable puree cooked in water or steam and mixed, without adding salt (green beans, zucchini, carrots, leek, pumpkin, broccoli, etc.) + Meat or fish (2 teaspoons ) or ¼ hard-boiled egg, mixed +1 teaspoon of uncooked vegetable oil or a knob of butter OR a 200g mashed pot of vegetables, meat / fish.
  • Purée of very ripe "homemade" fruits, cooked and mixed, without adding sugar (apple, banana, pear, peach, apricot, nectarine, etc.) OR a small pot of fruit puree or milk dessert of 90-130 g.

Teatime Snack

  • Breastfeeding on demand OR 240 ml of follow-on milk (2nd age).
  • Bread crust or boudoir, when baby is ready (he already has two teeth or he can eat dishes with small pieces or he sits alone in his baby chair).
  • A little puree of ripe, cooked and mixed "homemade" fruit, without adding sugar OR a few teaspoons of a small jar of fruit puree.

Dinner

  • Breastfeeding on demand OR a 240 ml bottle of follow-on milk or 8 scoops with possibly 1 to 2 tablespoons of infant cereals.
  • Mixed “homemade” vegetable puree or soup OR small pot of vegetable and starchy mash of 190-200 g
  • Homemade fruit puree mixed or crushed OR a small pot of fruit puree of 120-130 g

Let baby advance at his own pace in this adventure of diversification! Adapt this standard menu to his progress, without forcing it, to help him have a serene relationship with food.
