Breast milk, a recommendation rather than a choice

As breast milk is the best food source for the specific needs of infants, The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends six months of exclusive breastfeeding. Furthermore, European regulations forbid advertising by infant milk producers about milk for newbonrs up to 6 months.

You can not or do not wish to breastfeed your baby?

A health professional can help you choose the best milk for your child.

Discover the values that drive the men and women of Babybio every day.

Babybio has always been committed to the future of your baby by offering him environment-friendly, authentic foods, with recipes that taste like they're homemade.

Babybio products are subject to two regulatory systems, that of infant nutrition and that of organic farming.

Made in France

Produced in France

Did you know that Babybio is French and manufactures its products in France?
As a specialist in organic baby food, we develop and manufacture Babybio products in France, which helps to develop dynamic local economies and maintains jobs in our regions.

Based in Southwest France, Babybio is the first French brand to have marketed an organic baby formula, in 1996. In addition, we emphasize the French origin of our ingredients. The cow's milk used in our baby formulas as well as all of our meats is produced in France.

We want to promote the farmers in our regions and underscore our environmentally responsible philosophy by labeling the origin of our ingredients on all our jars, pouches, doypacks, bowls and trays.

Choosing Babybio means choosing high quality products for your baby.

Strictly selected ingredients

Each day, our brand is built on these 4 pillars, to bring you the very best nature has to offer:

Origin of raw materials

Babybio carefully selects the geographical origin of its ingredients, focusing on local producers.

Babybio relies primarily on French producers. When this isn't possible, we turn to our closest European neighbors (Spain, Italy...) for our supplies.

Quality of selected ingredients

Babybio is subject to very strict infant nutrition regulations. Our standards are naturally very strict as a result. We demand the highest quality raw materials and carry out rigorous controls upon their reception. We also attach particular importance to the nutritional properties of our ingredients.

Babybio is the only baby food brand to label the origin of its ingredients on its jars, pouches, bowls, doypacks and trays in order to ensure transparency for our customers.

The origins indicated on our products may vary due to our strict requirements when choosing producers and with regard to eventual difficulties in obtaining organic raw materials.

Sustainable relationships with producers

Babybio strives to build lasting relationships with its producers and  attaches particular importance to the construction of organic supply chains in order to be closer to farmers and breeders.

Organic from the cradle

Why choose organic nutrition for baby?

What is organic agriculture?

Organic agriculture is a method of production that respects the balance of nature. It promotes sustainable development, the maintenance of natural balances and biodiversity, and the development of products as natural as possible.

The guiding principles of organic agriculture

  • Growing methods which are respectful of the environment and ecosystems and which exclude the use of GMOs*
  • Use of natural fertilizers;  organic pest control efforts (use of ladybugs...)
  • Respect of biodiversity and of soil: crop rotation, respect of seasonal cycles, land-related cultivation practices...
  • Respect of animal well-being: free-range breeding, no preventive antibiotic treatments...

*Genetically Modified Organisms

By respecting natural balances and by prohibiting the use of chemical fertilizers, organic agriculture contributes to the preservation of the environment.

How can you tell if a product is organic?

logo bio européenThe European logo is mandatory on all organic food packaging in the European Union since July 2010. This logo indicates that the products have been certified by an independent organization which has verified the regulatory respect of the European Organic Farming Charter. In France, only 6 organizations have received the necessary accreditation by the competent authorities to deliver organic certification.

logo ABThe AB logo is an optional and voluntary national logo.

Reliability and traceability from A to Z

European organic certification ensures that products are 100% organic or contain at least 95% ingredients of organic origin. The remaining 5% correspond to products not available in organic form and specifically authorized for use in organic products. From the field to the table, from the farmer to the consumer, organic products are regularly tested.

Sustainable development, a responsible attitude

Meet the needs of today's and tomorrow's generations without affecting the future!
Man must learn to use his natural resources while ensuring their renewal. Organic agriculture contributes to supporting a more sustainable world.

Just like homemade

Just like homemade

Recipes that taste like homemade, rich in fruit and vegetables
Babybio recipes are carefully developed to taste as much as "homemade" as possible.

Our recipes contain no unnecessary ingredients. That means all our products are made without thickeners and usually without added sugars* or added salt.

We also adapt our formulas to each baby according to his susceptibility to allergies by eliminating as many of the major allergens as possible, so he can benefit from a delicious diet adapted to his needs.

Babybio participates in baby's nutritional and taste education from the very first months.

Our packagings

Our packaging

The quality of our products can be seen in our careful packaging choices which offer the best-adapted containers for our recipes.
We are working closely with our suppliers to improve our packaging and reduce their environmental impact.

We strive to use a maximum of recycled materials: this is the case for all of our cardboard sleeves. You'll recognize them by the "Printed on recycled paper" logo.

All Babybio packaging is Bisphenol A-free, in accordance with regulations

Terracycle program

TerracycleRecycle our plastic items with Terracycle.

Enhancing the beauty of our regions while protecting the environment has always been important for Babybio. That's why we've created a partnership with the Terracycle company which has public and private collection points where our pouches, bowls, doypacks, and trays can find a second life. Furthermore, a point system for each package collected contributes money to charitable associations. To learn more:

Our packaging/products may be subject to a waste sorting system:

Waste sorting

Sorting our packaging enables:

  • to economize natural resources used to manufacture our packaging while avoiding waste
  • to limit pollution linked to the accumulation of waste and other products thrown away by man
  • to manufacture new objects: once sorted, our waste can be recycled to be made into new objects: recycled paper and cardboard are reused to make newspaper, cartons...
  • d'économiser de l'énergie : recycler des matières, des déchets, demandera moins de consommation d'énergie que de créer de la matière nouvelle.
