Ingredients:

  • 250g ground beef
  • 1/2 finely chopped onion
  • 60g finely chopped button mushrooms
  • 2 c. aromatic herbs (basil, parsley, thyme, sage, chives ...) finely chopped
  • 30g breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg yolk
  • For the sauce: 250g of fresh peeled, seeded and crushed tomatoes
  • 15 cl of water or vegetable broth
  • 1/2 finely chopped onion
  • 2 c. tomato coulis

Serves:

Preparation for 25 meatballs. Suggested portion for a 15 month old baby: 3 to 4 meatballs (to adapt according to his appetite)

Preparation:

Preheat the oven to 180 ° C (th.5). Mix the beef, onion, mushrooms, herbs, breadcrumbs and egg yolk well by hand. Shape 25 dumplings. Keep in the fridge while you prepare the sauce. Gather the remaining ingredients for the sauce in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Lower the heat, cover and cook for 15 minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat, let cool for a few minutes, then mix the sauce. Boil the meatballs for 20 minutes. Transfer to a gratin dish. Pour the sauce over the meatballs, cover with a lid or aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes in the oven. Serve with broccoli cut into small pieces.

Advice :

A dish typically for "big babies"!
